Why Waste was established to divert valuable resources from the business waste stream away from landfill. We do this by providing a ‘match making’ service for businesses with waste and other parties who can utilise that waste. This brings the following benefits:

• Online waste listings – the opportunity to register your waste or resource requirements online or browse through materials wanted and waste available.
• Staff time to make exchanges happen.
• On-site visits – to assess waste and give advice on options
• Information on suitable recyclers in conjunction with Resource Efficiency Yorkshire
• Referrals to other relevant business support programmes
• Advice on waste legislation
