Why Waste was established to divert valuable resources from the business waste stream away from landfill. We do this by providing a ‘match making’ service for businesses with waste and other parties who can utilise that waste. This brings the following benefits:

Our free services include:
- Online waste listings – the opportunity to register your waste or resource requirements online or browse through materials wanted and waste available.
- Staff time to make exchanges happen.
- On-site visits – to assess waste and give advice on options
- Information on suitable recyclers in conjunction with Resource Efficiency Yorkshire
- Referrals to other relevant business support programmes
- Advice on waste legislation
The service is delivered in partnership with the sub regional Green Business Clubs.
We are also developing a consultancy service. For example promoting and marketing new recycling services, technical support to access funding etc. Feel free to call and discuss any project ideas.
