It was effortless just ringing Emma at your organization, giving her details and within 2 days we had moved the items and had two further inquiries from other charities. We would much rather it went to good use than to a re-cycling unit.

08: Falcon Sportswear and The Big Swing

The Big Swing, an adventure playground for children aged 7 to 16, took advantage of a fabulous offer a skip full of returned sportswear from Falcon Sportwear recently.

The activities that take place at the playground are entirely dependent on the needs and wishes of the children and young people. Typical activities include playing on the swing, zip wire and jumping tower, sports, art and craft, den building and cooking on the fire. The activities are based on self directed free play this allowing the children to choose how they develop and express them selves.

The sportswear went to immediate use in a football tournament hosted by The Big Swing.

Jennifer Turner, a spokesperson for the playground said:

“A big thanks to why waste and falcon sports wear for supporting the big swing adventure playground by donating sports wear and helping our children.”

Leo Brumfit of Falcon Sportswear commented on the service saying:

“It was effortless just ringing Emma at your organization, giving her details and within 2 days we had moved the items and had two further inquiries from other charities. We would much rather it went for reuse in the community rather than recycling.”
