"It's very reassuring to know that someone is benefiting from the furniture instead of it being lost forever in a landfill site. I think it is essential we put these things to good use in the community"

Hilton Hotel02: Hilton Hotel

When the Hilton Hotel in Bradford decided to revamp their restaurant they found themselves with unwanted dining room furniture and a potentially large waste disposal bill. Why Waste came to the rescue diverting the furniture from landfill and putting it to good use with several community based organisations.

Nick Taylor, Manager of Bradford Hilton was more than happy with the arrangement:

"It's very reassuring to know that someone is benefiting from the furniture instead of it being lost forever in a landfill site. I think it is essential we put these things to good use in the community"

Through Why Waste's intervention, over one tonne of redundant dining room chairs and dining room tables were saved from the skip. Amongst groups benefiting was the Tree House community café in Bradford.
