12: Why Waste helps Sheffield Chamber divert 2.2 tonnes of waste from landfill

Sheffield Chamber of Commerce exchanged over 2 tonnes of furniture with BTCV Sheffield – a charity working with young people and volunteers providing training in conservation, after registering on Why Waste and SR Recycling agreed to take away the photocopier. This saved the Chamber £700 in disposal costs and rescued 2.2 tonnes of waste from landfill.

Colleen Ward, Sheffield Chamber of Commerce said:

Through Why Waste, BTCV Sheffield has found a recycler to collect its paper and cardboard for free and is now saving £25 per month on its waste disposal costs.
